Language is made of emotions and emotions are shaped by language, they are deeply intertwined. For you to learn a language, as early as possible, it needs to be felt, it needs to be relevant to your life, it needs to connect with who YOU are. Words, verbs and grammar are meant to support expression in all its colours and applications.
I offer personalized lessons, online and on site, tailored to you. My private online lessons are similar to live ones in all aspects. They are very interactive and allow the same sense of humour, facial expressions, educational tools and quality of presence.
I usually assess the student’s level on the first session, and we work from there. It is by far the best way to set anyone on a positive progression. My pace is always adjusting to the pace and abilities of the student. For one to make the most out of the lessons and progress faster, after every lesson, I provide a set of exercises and tasks that will feed practice and integration.

"I had such a fun time learning Spanish with Sylvie.
She is a terrific teacher. After learning the basics, Sylvie tailored the lessons to subjects I am interested in and things that would help me travel.
I started the lessons because I travel to Mexico fairly regularly to surf and I wanted to be able to chat with the locals. Because of this, my lessons were about renting surfboards, asking about the wave conditions and where good surfing beaches are located. I'm also very interested in food so we focused a lot on names of ingredients and how to get by at the market.
Learning with Sylvie is really fun, she puts a lot of time and effort into making personalized lessons that will work for you.
She also loads you up with homework to keep you busy. Videos to watch, exercises to do, a diary to keep. Lessons with Sylvie are a screaming deal.
